Service 02
Methodical electrical fault finding that identifies the real cause
We use testing and measurement to trace the source of a problem, rather than replacing parts by guesswork, and explain what we have found before carrying out the repair.

Our approach
Find the cause first, then repair the fault
A fault may lie in an appliance, the wiring, a connection, a protective device or a combination of several issues. Intermittent problems in particular can waste time if they are approached without a clear method.
We follow a structured process: establish when the problem occurs, isolate areas or equipment, take measurements and test. We then recommend the appropriate repair and clearly separate any additional defects from the original reason for the visit.
How we can help
A service tailored to your requirements
We agree the scope before starting and distinguish essential work from optional improvements.
RCDs that keep tripping
Tracing leakage and checking the circuits or appliances responsible for unwanted disconnections.
Circuit breakers that trip
Checking for overloads, short circuits, poor connections and whether the circuit is correctly specified.
Intermittent faults
Diagnosing power cuts, flickering, unreliable accessories and problems that occur only under certain conditions.
Dead circuits
Testing from the distribution board through junctions, accessories and connected equipment to narrow down the fault.
Overheating and connections
Inspecting terminals, joints, boards and points showing signs of heat or deterioration.
Unusual electricity use
Measurements aimed at identifying equipment, circuits or usage patterns that may explain unexpected consumption.
Clear communication
No premature promises
Many faults can be resolved on the first visit. Others need the problem to be reproduced, access to junction points or tests on connected equipment. We prefer to explain this honestly rather than promise an immediate repair before the cause is known.
Fault-finding visits are arranged by appointment. We do not provide a 24-hour emergency service, allowing us to reserve the right amount of time and the appropriate test equipment for each case.

Frequently asked questions
Before we begin
If your question is not covered here, send us a short description and photographs on WhatsApp.
Do you provide a 24-hour emergency service?
No. We work by appointment so that we can allocate suitable time and equipment to the diagnosis.
Can you give a fixed price before visiting?
We can often provide guidance from the symptoms, but some faults cannot be priced accurately without testing. We explain our charging approach before the visit.
What information should I send?
Photographs of the distribution board, a video of the fault, when it happens and which appliances were running can help us prepare.
Do you repair older installations?
Yes, provided the repair can be completed safely. If part of the installation needs upgrading, we explain why and set out the options.
Tell us about your project
Explain what you need and we will give you clear guidance
Send us a brief description, the location and photographs. We will reply to clarify the details or arrange a visit.
