Service 03
Electrical certificates, legalisation and power upgrades
We inspect the installation, explain which documents are required and distinguish clearly between the administrative process and any technical work needed beforehand.

Our approach
Inspect the installation first; prepare the paperwork properly
A Spanish Electrical Installation Certificate, or CIE, records the characteristics of an installation and confirms compliance within the relevant scope. It is not simply a form: the installation must be inspected before the certificate can be issued.
We explain what may be required for a new connection, a modification or an increase in contracted power, which information needs to be gathered and whether any defects must be corrected first.
How we can help
A service tailored to your requirements
We agree the scope before starting and distinguish essential work from optional improvements.
Electrical Installation Certificate · CIE
Inspection of the installation and issue of the certificate where the applicable requirements are met.
New electricity supplies
Electrical documentation for a new connection or reconnection where required.
Increases in contracted power
Review of the installation, protection and expected load before the application is made.
Legalisation of alterations
Documentation for electrical extensions, modifications or renovations that need to be registered.
Remedial work
Correction of the necessary items so the installation can be documented responsibly.
Plans and diagrams
Preparation of the technical and graphical documents required for the installation and type of work.
Clear communication
We establish what is needed before quoting
Not every procedure requires the same documents, and an older installation does not automatically need complete replacement. The inspection allows us to separate advisable improvements from work that is essential for the application.
Final acceptance and timescales may depend on the electricity distributor or public administration. We undertake to prepare the authorised installer's part correctly and explain the process clearly.

Frequently asked questions
Before we begin
If your question is not covered here, send us a short description and photographs on WhatsApp.
Can a certificate be issued without visiting the property?
No. We must inspect the installation and verify its characteristics before accepting responsibility for the certificate.
Does increasing the contracted power always require building work?
Not necessarily. It depends on the admissible power, supply cable, distribution board, protection and existing documentation.
Can you certify work installed by somebody else?
We must first inspect and test it. We can only certify the installation if the result and supporting information are satisfactory.
How long does the process take?
We can estimate the time required for our inspection and documentation. Decisions or work by the distributor or administration remain outside our control.
